I wonder if there is a Nepali or Burmese translation function??
@RomainCardon: We'll aim to write up a short guide to features....
@mllenicolakelly: #locallanguages
this is a good Q for Laurie... I think Thomspon Reuters will be hosting discussion fora on communications topics? Is that right Laurie?
@JudithFlick: I have moderator's privileges. The main advantage is to be able to 'stick' key questions up above, and see how many participants we have. (In addition to other technology tricks I have yet to discover
surely)
@CarinaBachofen: Can't see Burmese or Nepali in there but I can't read all the character languages....
@CarinaBachofen: That's right, Nicola. We're aiming to have regular discussions on this platform to talk through issues like yours
#Likedmost I can interact with all people who do comment
#Likedmost Hasn't crashed once!
#Likedleast difficulty following the conversation
#Likedmost: I like that we have a great turnout (24 participants currently) with a lively discussion. Nobody knew what exactly to expect but came along for the ride. I hope the technology raised interest in using it again for more focused discussion
#Likedmost able to translate, though I have not done it mysel
any other views to share?
#likedmost: an informal space to exchange ideas and pose questions
@mllenicolakelly: Yes, I think this will be very good when there's one key topic we're focusing on in a discussion - which will be the case going ahead!
Alright everyone - time to close... The KM will be preparing a schedule of upcoming Discussion Fora, based on feedback received during this conversation as well as during the Dakar workshop. We welcome any feedback on this experience and ideas for using this platform further via email at braced@resilienceexchange.net
We hope the discussion platforms will be a central part of the communities of practice that will form around particular evaluation and research questions and will also provide a safe space to reflect on learning processes and ways of working within the BRACED program.
Thanks Bettina and Annabelle! I suggest if people wish to stay longer, please do so
Yes, one tip for future conversations: You can prepare a bit of text or links you want to share in advance and past them into the comment box to avoid some of the typing
Those moderating this discussion can surely stay, as well as Climate Centre colleagues working on learning and uptake
@LaurieGoering@TR_Foundation: Good tip Laurie! Let's plan to send around a list of tips and tricks for using discussion fora in advance of our next online discussion
