Besides posting text, you can put links into the comment boxes - try that out and see what happens!
@JudithFlick: Looks great now!
It is expected that the participation of BRACED members in such communities of practice will help strengthen the impacts of projects and the design of programming over time through an active learning approach and an adaptive, iterative form of facilitation. What do you all think so far of this technology?
I think Aditya has summed up nicely what I'm hoping for from this forum. I can also see different members of our project team perhaps using this forum at different times according to issues or topics are scheduled for discussion. From my side, I'm particularly interested in exchanging ideas, lessons and opportunities for communicating our work as part of the wider BRACED
.
Welcome Romain, thanks for joining us. Above we have a short summary of the key questions being discussed so far.
This platform also lets us share links to blogs, articles and videos
Laurie, could you post an example?
@mllenicolakelly: thanks for letting us know
We can also set up Polls to gather information... i will set one up right now... 1 sec
@JudithFlick: that is a function we have as moderators of the discussion
If anybody would like to pose a question to the group - please do so and we can move it to the top
Did everyone manage to see the Poll?
@BettinaKoelle: Sure, Bettina. Besides posting comments, you can put in links to point people on the discussion to other material you've produced that has a web link - a report, video, story, case study, your website, anything of that kind. Try this out! If you hover over the right-hand side of a comment made by another user, you can see a reply button - that will put their name at the front of your next comment so you can direct your question or answer to a particular person
@Aditya(ODI): It seems to have worked
@mllenicolakelly: Would you have any other videos to post on this forum as a 'test'?
@mllenicolakelly: Thanks, Nicola! We'd love to get out to see your projects. I'm sure Kathryn will be in touch about possibilities. Anything interesting to see at this point?
Feel free to upload any videos or materials about your project to share with others in this forum. If you have technical questions - just ask! That's what this session is all about
@mllenicolakelly: Great to know about the video! When we launch the BRACED website later this month, we will be able to put up some video about BRACED projects - and could use this one! Would love to know if others have material of that kind we could put on the website as well. Maybe you could post links here?
I can see the poll but can't seem to find how to answer it? (Love the videos by the way... hope all the content on this discussion stays available when it shuts?)
If you've put together case studies, reports, guides, tools - whatever! - for your project so far, these could also be useful material for the BRACED website. Just let us know and send links. The website will be in English and in French so great to have material in either or both languages.....
@Lucile.Robinson: We will keep this content available and are currently planning to write up blogs after each discussion forum to highlight key discussion questions topics. The blogs can show others beyond BRACED what we're talking about
@JudithFlick: Yes, anyone can log-in using the quick log-in function. That means you can use these discussions both for relatively closed discussions within the BRACED family, as we are doing today, but also potentially for broad public ones about BRACED findings, inviting lots of members of the resilience community. We will do some of those down the road in BRACED, as we gather findings and key messages
Hi, I am Eddie from Climate Centre, I am passionate about games
@Lucile.Robinson: can you answer it better if I post it up top (as now)?
